Publicis Groupe Hungary made history, securing triple #1, at the M-List Awards!
Publicis Groupe Hungary has made history in Hungary’s creative industry. At last night’s M-List awards ceremony, the agency won Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year, and with Opella’s Pain Ambassadors project the Campaign of the Year titles simultaneously — marking the first time in the Hungarian market that a single agency has dominated all three major categories.
In addition, the company ranked 5th on the Agency HR Top list and 4th on the BTL/Event Top list. The Square Cookie (Mondelez) campaign, created in collaboration with feat., also secured 9th place on the list of top campaigns.
The M-List awards ceremony resounded with applause and celebration last night. The event, jointly organized by PPH Media and the Hungarian Association of Communication Agencies (MAKSZ), ranks agencies each year using a sophisticated scoring system that recognizes outstanding performance by agencies and their clients. The competition was particularly close again this year, with every single point carrying significant weight.
Vladimir Tkachev, CEO of Publicis Groupe Hungary reflects on the memorable wins: “Publicis Groupe has a distinctive global formula for success, and it is the foundation behind the achievements of our Budapest office as well. Our ‘Power of One’ secret sauce is not just a philosophy. It is a bespoke way of working that seamlessly integrates strategy, creative, production and media to deliver meaningful value to our clients.
However, a model alone does not create results. The real impact comes from the capabilities, dedication and perseverance of our people, and from the trust of the clients we are proud to partner with.”
The winning campaign developed the Pain Ambassadors campaign (Algoflex, Opella), which won the Grand Prix at Hipnózis and received numerous domestic and international awards, including accolades at Eurobest and the Epica Awards.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Düsseldorf-based Saatchi & Saatchi Düsseldorf on the Square Cookie (Mondelez) campaign, Publicis Groupe Hungary’s production team played a key role in the project’s success. The campaign went on to win two Silver Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The Budapest-based agency also earned additional recognition throughout the year with campaigns such as The Last School Trip and the Props of Life for Radnóti Theater, the Bin of Irritation for Samsung, and Stomp Over and Walk for Johnnie Walker / Diageo. These projects contributed valuable points to the agency’s overall performance.
The media team at Publicis Groupe Hungary also had an outstanding year. Thanks to the company’s “Power of One” strategic approach, the creative and media teams worked in close collaboration on numerous award-winning projects, strengthening one another’s efforts and delivering exceptional results. At the same time, the media division won several local and international pitches, significantly expanding its portfolio.
Rita Horváth, Chief Media Officer of Publicis Groupe Hungary, summarized 2025 as follows:
“My team and I have come through an especially intense year, shaped by market conditions, global changes, and, of course, AI. Considering all of this, I am even prouder that we were not only able to grow, but also to continue delivering high-quality work.”
